DISC Profiling

‘In order to be understood, we must first seek to understand’ – Steven Covey

Do you want DISCover why you just ‘click’ with some people in your business … and others are an absolute … pain?

You know what they say in most businesses – that ‘people are our most important asset’? But is that really true? Often, ‘people’ can simply feel like your biggest headache!

In my experience, stories about teams working powerfully together and building a great business, can often feel like a fantasy to most business people.

After all, Alice in accounts can barely bring herself to speak with Simon in sales, and Dominic in development takes forever to come to the same conclusion everyone else did a week ago.  And, while you can always rely on Andrew the account manager to share your vision, why don’t the rest of the team just ‘get it’ like he does?

Sometimes I bet it feels like you’re running a kindergarten!

Of course, you already recognise that, in any business, you need a team that brings together all sorts of skills and mindsets. However, the trick of great management is understanding how ‘your people puzzle’ works and how you can get the best out of everyone, getting all those different personalities working in one powerful direction.

DISC helps you to understand what you need to do to be more successful in your interactions with others. A DISC profile provides a comprehensive overview of the way people think, act and interact. Using personality profiling will enhance the communication and motivation of your team and individuals enabling better work with less conflict and improved work production!

What is DISC?

It is a powerful personal assessment tool used to help to identify and understand how each individual likes to be communicated with, what motivates and drives them. When we understand this it helps us to modify our language and behaviour to manage people in a way that is right for them. People are different, but they are predictably different. People respond better to people they like and understand.

Created by psychologist and inventor Dr. William Marston and with a 90% to 95% record of accuracy it helps you to understand people in minutes rather than months.

It is easy to administer and easy to understand.  By completing a thought provoking questionnaire – in only 7 minutes – the DISC model provides a common language that people can use to better understand themselves and adapt to the behaviour of others.

This creates improved relationships, both in the workplace and at home!

DISC Workshops

We are accredited corporate DISC trainers and can train you to use DISC where it works for you

Really REALLY enjoyed my session with Louise Turner last night about understanding DISC personality types. Oddly – just can’t think why?!! – I came out as ‘Dominance’ and ‘Influence’ led – or bossy and gobby, depending on your perspective. 🙂

Apparently ‘Dominant’ types aren’t good with instructions, so guess who was the only one there to get the exercise 100% arse about face! Ooops!!

Well done Louise – you were on GREAT form and the session was super helpful. Can’t wait to see how you can add some insights to my Mastermind Group in March.
